COMMUNITY-WIDE FOOD DRIVE
Friday, July 27th from 4-7 PM

The 90-Days of Blessing follows the Global Day of Prayer as an opportunity for Christians to not only continue in persistent prayer, but to become actively involved in serving and reaching out. This is a time of being creative in the Spirit and a time of becoming the hands and feet of Jesus in broken communities.
On Friday, July 27, from 4-7 PM, please bring non-perishable food items to Pathway Bookstore. Volunteers will be available to assist you. J103
will be broadcasting live for the marathon food collection!
The food items collected will be distributed to the following local faith-based organizations that assist the disadvantaged in Bradley County:
o Faith Memorial
o First Baptist Church Manna Ministry
o Mt. Olive East
o New Life Bible Church
o The Caring Place
o Valley View Baptist Storehouse

NOTICE: A community-wide food drive will be also be held on Friday, August 24, at Cleveland High School. WBAC will broadcast live at this event.

Spice of Life’s 20 Year Celebration!

On July 29, 1987, nine members of Wesley Memorial UMC met to begin a senior adult ministry. Ideas were exchanged, goals discussed, a name decided upon, and Spice of Life began. God has blessed this ministry over the past 20 years with great times of fellowship and many opportunities to travel and enjoy new places. So, now it is time to CELEBRATE and that is what we plan to do! On Tuesday, August 7, we invite you to come enjoy lunch at Noon at our usual place in Anderson Hall. There will be time to reminisce and time to look forward. If you have never joined us before, we extend a special invitation to you; come learn what we are all about. Reservations are required so please let us know if you plan to attend by calling Noreen Lonas at 476-3878. The deadline to do so is August 1.
We hope to see you there!
